Pawsome Goods ("we", "us"), operated by [NEEDS DERRICK: legal business name, e.g. your LLC, or your full legal name if a sole proprietor], runs shoppawsomegoods.com. This policy explains what personal information we collect, how we use it and the choices you have.

Information we collect

• Orders: name, email, shipping address and (if provided) phone number, collected by Stripe at checkout. We never receive or store full card numbers.
• Messages: anything you send us by email or the contact form.
• Email list: your email address, if you sign up, handled by our email marketing provider [NEEDS DERRICK: name your email provider, e.g. Brevo or MailerLite, once connected].
• Analytics, cookies and pixels: we use cookies and similar technologies, including Google Analytics and the Meta and TikTok pixels, to understand how the site is used and measure ads. They collect device, browser, IP-based location and activity data. See Cookies and similar technologies below for details and choices. Your cart is stored in your browser's local storage.

Categories we collect (past 12 months): identifiers (name, email, address, phone, IP address); commercial information (orders, products viewed); internet activity (site usage, ad interactions); approximate location from IP; inferences from purchases (e.g., pet types). We do not collect sensitive personal information as defined by law.

How we use it

To process and ship orders (including sharing your name and shipping address with our fulfillment suppliers, who ship your items directly), provide support, send marketing you opted into, prevent fraud and improve the site.

Sharing

We don't sell your personal information for money. We share it with service providers that help run the store: Stripe (payments), our fulfillment suppliers and shipping carriers (delivery), our email marketing provider (email), and Google Analytics (site analytics).

Advertising: we use advertising cookies and pixels from Meta (Facebook/Instagram) and TikTok to measure our ads and show you ads on those platforms. These partners may collect information such as pages viewed, items added to cart, purchases, device and browser identifiers and IP address. Under some state laws (including California), this may be considered "selling" or "sharing" personal information for targeted advertising. You can opt out at any time: click "Your Privacy Choices / Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information" in our site footer, or turn on Global Privacy Control (GPC) in your browser, which we honor as an opt-out. We have not sold or shared the personal information of consumers we know to be under 16.

Retention

We keep order and transaction records for up to 7 years for tax and accounting purposes, support messages for up to 3 years, marketing data until you unsubscribe (plus a suppression record so we don't email you again), and analytics/advertising data per those providers' retention settings (we set Google Analytics to 14 months).

Your choices and rights

You can unsubscribe from marketing emails at any time with the link in every email.

Your rights: depending on your state, you can request to know/access, correct, delete, or get a portable copy of your information; opt out of sale, sharing and targeted advertising; and appeal our decision. Submit requests to [email protected] with "Privacy Request" in the subject. We'll verify your identity by matching your email and order details, and respond within 45 days (extendable as allowed by law). You may use an authorized agent. If we deny your request, you can appeal by replying with "Appeal"; we'll respond within the time required by law, and if you're unhappy you can contact your state attorney general. We won't discriminate against you for exercising your rights.

Opt-out signals: we treat Global Privacy Control as a valid opt-out of sale/sharing/targeted advertising for that browser.

Cookies and similar technologies

Cookies are small files stored in your browser. We also use local storage and "pixels" (small pieces of code that tell a partner you visited or bought something).

Your choices

• Use Cookie settings (also in our footer) to turn analytics or advertising cookies off.
• Opt out of sale/sharing / targeted ads: click "Your Privacy Choices" in our footer, or email [email protected] with "Do Not Sell or Share."
• Global Privacy Control: if your browser sends a GPC signal, we treat it as a request to opt out of sale/sharing and targeted advertising for that browser.
• You can also block or delete cookies in your browser settings, opt out of Google Analytics at tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout, and adjust ad preferences in your Meta and TikTok account settings.
• Opt-outs are browser- and device-specific; if you clear cookies you may need to opt out again.
• We don't currently respond to "Do Not Track" signals other than GPC, as there's no common standard.

Security

We use reputable providers and reasonable safeguards, but no method of transmission or storage is 100% secure.

Children

Our site is intended for adults and isn't directed to children under 13. We don't knowingly collect personal information from children under 13; if you believe a child has given us information, email us and we'll delete it. We don't knowingly sell or share the personal information of anyone under 16.

We may update this policy; the date above shows the latest version.
